Catalogue Essay
• The fourth and final iteration of the Collection X, the present Ressence Type 1 Squared X Time by Colour illustrates yet again a captivating visual language for telling the time.
• Powered by the brand’s patented Orbital Convex System (ROCS), this model interestingly features on a rotating sub-dial (usually reserved for the small seconds) 48 coloured ceramic balls used to depict the time. The ceramic balls range in colours from yellow, grey to blue, and finally black. The morning hours are depicted by yellow beads like the early sun-rays while the evening hours starting at 6 pm are blue, naturally fading to black, towards the deeper hours of the night.
• Based on the Type 1 squared case introduced in 2017, the case is polished grade 5 titanium featuring a concentrically brushed green dial with white arabic numerals on the outer track.
• Part of a limited edition of 40 pieces, this very last example, individually numbered 40 on the caseback, is preserved in excellent overall condition and it is further accompanied by its full set of accessories and additional leather strap.
