Produced from 2012 to 2019, the Patek Philippe reference 5235G represents a distinctive blend of technical modernity and archival inspiration. While exhibiting a sharp, contemporary aesthetic, its angular 40.5mm white gold case design draws direct inspiration from the vintage reference 3448 perpetual calendar, originally introduced in 1962.
The two-tone vertical satin-finished dial features a regulator layout, separating the central minute hand from auxiliary hours and seconds subdials, paired with aperture displays for the day, month and date. Powering the watch is the ultra-thin, self-winding cal. 31-260 REG QA, the manufacture's first regulator-style movement with an annual calendar. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement incorporates Advanced Research technologies, including Silinvar components such as a Pulsomax escapement and Spiromax balance spring, offering enhanced antimagnetic properties and long-term chronometric stability.
In 2019, Patek Philippe discontinued the white gold reference 5235G, replacing it with a pink gold version featuring a graphite dial. Consigned in overall excellent condition by its original owner, this circa 2014 example is accompanied by its original Certificate of Origin and full suite of presentation accessories.
