Full-Cataloguing
- “New-old-stock” single-sealed condition
- Complete with its original accessories
- Fresh to the market, the 27th example to appear
- Only 200-250 pieces were produced from 1995-2003
Produced from 1995 to 2003 exclusively in white gold, the Reference 5041 is a cushion-shaped evolution of the earlier 5040. Cases were crafted by Favre-Perret, with total production believed to have remained under 250 pieces and only 26 examples previously known to have returned to the market. The present watch is the 27th example to appear. Fresh to the market and still untouched in its sealed condition, it represents an exceptional opportunity. Notably, it is delivered with both the solid and sapphire casebacks.
The tonneau-shaped case is one of the reference’s greatest strengths. Cleaner and more resolved than the softer 5040 that preceded it, the 5041 features sharper shoulders, a broader flat bezel, and more precise lines that give the watch a stronger, more architectural presence on the wrist without sacrificing elegance.
That black dial is the true heart of the watch’s character. It carries applied white-gold Breguet numerals and matching hands over a perfectly balanced layout of the calendar and matching white gold moon phases. Inside lies the calibre 240 Q, Patek’s ultra-thin self-winding perpetual calendar with micro-rotor. Finished to Geneva Seal standards, the present example is from 2003, part of the last batch of production pieces yet remaining in its mint sealed condition.
