- Reference 4936 is the bejeweled counterpart to ref. 5036. It represents the first propositions on part of the brand of a gem-set annual calendar, a complication first pioneered by the maison in 1996 with ref 5035, the predecessor of ref. 5036 - differing by the presence of a 24-hour counter in place of the moonphases.

- Housed in a 36.5mm gold case, the model is distinguished by its balanced silhouette, gently stepped bezel, and restrained profile—hallmarks of Patek Philippe’s mid-2000s design language that bridge traditional aesthetics with modern wearability. A delightful detail is the diamond-setting around the crown, which not only embellishes it but furthermore improves grip: a rare case of gem-setting with practical repercussions.

- The opulence of the gem-set case is echoed by the sublime mother-of-pearl dial - featuring in fact three different MOP elements: the main dial, and the two subsidiary counters. The level of the mother-of-pearl job execution can be truly appreciated by looking at the edge of the moonphases aperture, cut with unparalleled precision. Superluminova hands and markers add a touch of practicality.
