Last but not least, this is the final variation that completes the set of this rare Canards Mandarins Series. The enameled dial here features a highly detailed, handcrafted pictorial scene executed in cloisonné enamel. The central motif depicts two mandarin ducks rendered with exceptional precision and vibrant coloration. The larger duck, positioned in the foreground and oriented toward the right, displays intricate plumage in shades of deep brown, iridescent blue, white, and gold accents on its wings, with a white head, orange beak, and golden legs. A smaller duck appears partially behind and to the left, similarly detailed with matching coloration and posture, suggesting its motion through water.
The background consists of a rich blue enamel field textured to evoke rippling water, overlaid with fine, undulating gold lines that delineate stylized waves. Gold hour and minute hands overlay the scene, with a clean blank slate, the dial has no hour markers or numerals present, focusing entirely on artistic composition.
The only set to grace the auction market, the present fresh-to-the-market masterpiece is kept in the collection of the original owner since 2009 and kept in a single-sealed condition. This is a incredible opportunity for enamel timepiece lovers to acquire all four examples together.
