-Patek Philippe’s Calatrava wristwatch is one of the most iconic and archetypal timepieces manufactured by the firm. Their original reference 96 has been an inspiration since its introduction in 1932, evolving over the decades as a classic time only watch. Inspired by the Bauhaus aesthetic canon of "form follows function" resulting in a timeless purity and harmony of case lines, it is still echoed today in the firm's designs.
-Introduced in 2021, the reference 6119 is the new generation Calatrava offered in both white gold and pink gold like the present watch. The model features a 39mm diameter case and remains the quintessential round wristwatch. Patek Philippe upgraded the movement with their new in-house caliber 30-255 PS, which replaced the caliber 215 first introduced in 1974. The new caliber features the brand’s first use of twin mainspring barrels in a time only wristwatch.
-The present reference 6119R from circa 2024 is in virtually new condition and offered by the original owner. The watch is complete with its full suite of accessories and a contemporary, hard-to-obtain edition of the iconic Calatrava.
