The introduction of the annual calendar in 1996 represented a quintessential Patek Philippe innovation: a complication of profound practicality, requiring but a single annual adjustment, executed with the maison’s signature elegance. This patented mechanism quickly blossomed into a cornerstone of the collection.
This brilliance found a compelling expression within the iconic Nautilus in 2010 with the ref. 5726. Its celebrated grey dial housed the self-winding cal. 324 S QA LU 24H. Two years later, Patek Philippe unveiled a striking first for the model: a crisp white dial version, its purity accentuated by bold black-bordered hour markers. Following the discontinuation of these seminal references in 2019, a new iteration in radiant blue joined the catalogue, swiftly attaining modern classic status.
The present ref. 5726/1A-010, featuring the highly sought-after white dial, is a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire a defining chapter in the evolution of the Nautilus.
