This Patek Philippe ref. 4283 embodies the elegant exuberance of an era when jewelry and watchmaking were seamlessly intertwined. The round 18k yellow gold case features a super rare, richly textured rope-style bezel that frames a deep black onyx dial, complemented by minimalist gold hands.
While other ref. 4283 examples often feature a woven design, this particular piece offers a strikingly different aesthetic. A work of art in itself, the bracelet continues the textured rope style found on the bezel and is composed of alternating links of onyx and diamonds, each set within curved gold forms that create a sense of rhythm and movement.
While many examples are watch-only, this piece comes as a complete set, including its Certificate of Origin dated July 2000 and presentation box. According to the Extract from the Archives, the watch was manufactured in 1978 and sold in 1989, during the brand’s 150th anniversary, securing its significance among the brand’s most creative decades. Substantial in weight and presence yet exquisitely refined in detail, this ref. 4283 is, to the best of our knowledge, fresh to the market and possibly unique in this configuration.
