Patek Philippe

Ref. 5960/1A-010

A sporty stainless steel annual calendar flyback chronograph wristwatch with power reserve, day/night indication, bracelet, certificate of origin, and presentation box

- No longer in production, the Patek Philippe ref. 5960 debuted in 2006 as the manufacture’s first fully in-house self-winding chronograph, boldly combined with an annual calendar. Initially launched in platinum with a grey dial, the reference later appeared in other precious metals, immediately establishing itself as an unexpected yet highly compelling modern complication.

- The stainless steel ref. 5960/1A-010 with black dial is among the most sought-after variants, owing to its extremely short one-year production in 2017 and its distinctly modern, sporty character. Its highly legible dial features the signature “bull’s-eye” annual calendar display, unifying the calendar indications into a single fan-shaped register, complemented by a power-reserve indicator and a chronograph sub-dial with day/night display.

- Preserved in excellent overall condition and complete with its original accessories, the present example stands out as an exceptional everyday complication for the contemporary collector.

Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
