Catalogue Essay
This reference serves as a transitional model that harmoniously blends elements of the past and present. Encased in stainless steel, the ref. 5800 is a rare gem that retains the timeless aesthetic of a monobloc case with an integrated sapphire caseback.
The present model features a 38mm case, slightly larger than the original 3800, while maintaining its signature blued ribbed dial. Underneath, the firm’s in-house cal. 330 SC drives the movement, equipped with a straight-line lever escapement, a shock-absorbing mechanism, a flat balance spring with self-compensating features, a monometallic balance, and the brand’s classic gold rotor, ensuring both robustness and precise timekeeping.
This Nautilus ref. 5800 from 2006 has been serviced at Patek Philippe in December 2022 and has remained in excellent overall condition since. It includes the Extract from the Archives and the service invoice, making it an ideal opportunity for collectors seeking to acquire one of the most exotic stainless steel Nautilus models ever produced.

Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
