Catalogue Essay
- The Patek Philippe annual calendar complication made its debut in 1996, breaking new ground in watchmaking. This complication was not only more practical than standard triple calendars of the time, but also more accessible and affordable compared to perpetual calendars. When kept running, the annual calendar requires adjustment only once a year in February.
- In 2010, Patek Philippe introduced the annual calendar reference 5205, initially offered in white gold and later in pink gold, complemented by silver or black dials. The present variation released in 2018 features a striking gradient blue dial, which adds to its contemporary allure. The annual calendar also incorporates the patented instantaneous digital display found in the prestigious reference 5207, Patek Philippe’s exclusive minute-repeating perpetual calendar tourbillon wristwatch.
- Well-preserved and in excellent overall condition, this reference 5205G comes complete with its original certificate and presentation box.
