In 2006, Patek Philippe replaced the ref. 3940 with the upgraded ref. 5140. While featuring a case and dial that closely resemble its predecessor, the ref. 5140 boasts a slightly larger case at 37mm in diameter and a larger date ring to enhance legibility. The present example from circa 2008 is crafted in sleek white gold with an attractive opaline silvery dial, and it comes with its Certificate of Origin stamped by Tiffany & Co. and its additional case back.
Only the second example to resurface on the auction market, this particular 5140G-001 is a highly sought-after variant which greatly enhances its collectability and appeal with the retailer’s signature positioned at six o’clock. Presented in excellent overall condition, this timepiece from the original owner represents a splendid opportunity to acquire a highly sought-after Tiffany-signed Patek Philippe.
