Catalogue Essay
- Inspired by the Nautilus, the Aquanaut, released in 1997, was an attempt to attract a younger audience to the world of watch collecting. The result was nothing short of spectacular, and the collection has since become a favorite among enthusiasts of luxury sports watches. It marked a significant milestone for Patek Philippe as it was their first-time incorporating rubber straps into their timepieces, a remarkable leap from their traditional watchmaking heritage.

- In 2007, Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5167, a decade after the debut of the original Aquanaut 5060. The diameter was enlarged to a contemporary 40.8mm, further enhancing its sporty profile and aesthetic appeal. The current iteration however, features a new three-link bracelet with satin-finished center links, less commonly seen compared to the rubber strap versions available in the market.

- The current watch also bears the prestigious "Geneva seal" which belongs to one of the earlier production batches before Patek Philippe transitioned to their own "PP seal". Fresh to the market, it remains in excellent overall condition and continues to be highly sought-after in the market, thanks to its incredible design and remarkable wearability.
