Catalogue Essay
- With its debut at Baselworld in 2012, the Patek Philippe Regulator ref. 5235 marked the maison's graceful foray into regulator timepieces. The watch's refined aesthetic reflects the best of Patek's design heritage - from the sharp lugs reminiscent of legends like ref. 3448, to the brushed casebands that nod to the "Padellone." Yet the 5235 interpretation feels entirely fresh and modern.

- Its beauty is matched by technical innovation within. The cal. 31-260 REG QA was specially developed for the Regulator, incorporating three silicon components from Patek's cutting-edge Advance Research department. Never before had silicon parts featured in a serially produced Patek caliber.

- Initially white gold ruled the 5235 alone. But in 2018, the warm allure of pink gold took center stage with the present 5235R. Here the interplay of brushed and polished pink gold is sublime against the dark two-tone dial. Applied rose gold markers catch the light along with the textured graphite center.

- Few opportunities to own this horological masterwork arise. Yet today, offered in exceptional condition with all its accessories, the present 5235R is a chance for the discerning collector to experience regulator elegance as only Patek Philippe can conceive.

Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
