Reference 5270 was first launched in 2011 which replaced 5970 that is long considered one of the most iconic line of Patek Philippe complication wristwatch history, perpetual calendar chronograph with moonphases. The new series are fitted with the new in-house movement calibre CH29-255 PS Q, a strategic decision allows for increased control over the production chain, and it is not a coincidence that it happened around the same time as the introduction of the Patek Philippe seal, the company’s own quality guarantee stamp, with stricter parameters than the Geneva seal.
The present lot, reference 5270P was the brand latest iteration that was launched in 2018 and the for the first time available in platinum for this reference. It is fitted with a stunning "salmon" dial that is elegant with blackened gold applied baton numerals that is strikingly legible and remarkably balanced.
Offered in mint and unworn condition, the present watch represents an opportunity to own one of the most striking and representative timepieces in Patek Philippe's current collection.
