Introduced in 2006, reference 5524 is without a doubt one of the most polarizing models made by the brand. At its inception, so wide was the stylistic gap dividing this model from all the rest of Patek Philippe's production that the entire community was taken truly by surprise. The model fills a niche in the Patek Philippe offering - that of Pilot timepieces - that had been disregarded by the brand for 175 year - with the exception of the two vintage pilot wristwatches, now residing in the Patek Philippe museum.
Eminently readable and unarguably aesthetically striking, the present example is one of the very few specimens of this reference to bear the Tiffany & Co signature, furthermore confirmed - obviously - by the Certificate of Origin, and even still retaining the Tiffany outer packaging and shopping bag.
