Catalogue Essay
The ref. 5235 was first introduced in Baselworld 2012 fair with a mixed reception which generated some controversy. As Patek Philippe’s first ever regulator style wristwatch, the watch features a vertical symmetrical dial layout further fitted with a brushed two tone silvered dial with blue graphics. The description of the watch alone does not sound like the usual Patek Philippe wristwatch that one would be aware of, however this element of differentiation generated a following and a strong demand for the regulator after it was released.

The present example is presented in overall excellent “like new” condition with very minimal signs of wear and further accompanied by the full set of accessories that was delivered with the present watch when it was purchased by the original owner from Italy. It is crucial to note that the production of 5235 in white gold has been discontinued, while the reference is now only encased in pink gold.
