  • Throughout his career, Nobuyoshi Araki has approached photography as a visual diary in which to document all facets of his experience.  In the large-format diptych offered here, he brings together two distinct yet interwoven bodies of work: Tokyo cityscapes and portraits of nude women. By showing them side by side, Araki highlights the distinctions between public and private realms and the tension that arises when those boundaries are blurred.
