Each bird set with a cabochon star sapphire and a cabochon star pink sapphire respectively, the eyes set with calibré-cut rubies, further decorated with circular-, square-cut and tapered baguette diamonds, measuring approximately 80 x 44mm, signed monture Cartier, French maker's mark for Cartier and assay mark for gold, one small diamond deficient.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 144764, stating that the star sapphire and the star pink sapphire are of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating, displaying a distinct star effect.
