Catalogue Essay
Maximilian Busser and Friends introduced the Horological Machine 3 (HM3) in 2009, one of the firm’s most iconic creation to-date.

Over the years, numerous iterations of the HM3 have emerged, including the Starcruiser, the Sidewinder and the MoonMachine. In 2015, MB&F released the HM3 Megawind Final Edition, available in three different case metals—pink gold, white gold, and PVD-coated white gold—each limited to just 25 pieces. With a design that evokes a spaceship, the HM3 Megawind features the model’s signature hour and minute cones, allowing the wearer to tell the time from both the side and the top.

Equipped with an oversized 22k gold battle-axe rotor, this feature enhances winding, developed specifically by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. The hour and minute cones are filled with C3 Super-Luminova, providing extremely high luminosity, which is also echoed on the rail of the rotor.

The present MB&F Megawind Final Edition from circa 2020 represents a fantastic opportunity for collectors of independent watchmakers to acquire an attractive, iconic, and rare HM3. This model houses last batches of HM3 calibers, and once this run is complete, no more HM3s will be produced.

Please note that MB&F generously offers a complementary servicing of the watch to the winning bidder within a period of 6 months after the sale.
