Type XX Tribute Chronograph
A “brand-new” and attractive limited edition stainless steel pilot’s flyback chronograph wristwatch with brown dial, certificate and presentation box, numbered 56 of a limited edition of 99 pieces

- The Breguet Type 20 (military versions) and Type XX (civilian versions) were one of the most important flyback chronograph wristwatches hailing from the mid-20th century decorated with a prolific history heavily tied with aviation and the military.
- Famed for its issued contracts of 2,000 Type 20 chronographs by the French Ministry of Defence (MOD) , its true supplier was actually Mathey-Tissot. In fact, out of the 2,000 Type 20 chronographs that Breguet agreed to supply.
- With that in mind, a faithful re-edition of the icon was released with Mathey-Tissot’s name and Massena LAB of a limited edition of 99 pieces was born.
- Retaining its 38.5mm stainless steel case, the Type XX Tribute Chronograph is close to a one-to-one reproduction featuring the bi-directional no click bezel, large pump pushers and “big-eye” 15 minute totaliser on its brown dial that reminds one of a tropical Type 20 inspired by William Massena’s own vintage piece. Furthermore the Arabic numerals is in a rich, coffee-colored luminous treatment.
- Powered by the Sellita calibre SW510BHa manual wound movement with a 48 hours power reserve, the present example is a “brand-new” unworn piece and numbered 56 form the collection.
