- Laurent Ferrier founded his own brand in 2010 following a distinguished 37-year career with the famed Swiss manufacturer Patek Philippe. His personal aesthetic follows traditional Swiss craftsmanship with innovative and contemporary design. His first collection, the Galet, is sleek and minimalist with a timeless design resembling the smooth organic shape of a pebble, and mechanical movement with micro-rotor.

- Laurent Ferrier's interpretation of the quintessential sports watch, the Sport Auto, marks a distinct departure from the brand’s traditionally elegant dress watches, bringing a sportier aesthetic. The watch is inspired by the founders’ personal history in automobile racing — notably their participation in the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans, where they finished 3rd overall in a Porsche 935. While still very much a "sports watch" with its integrated bracelet, blue dial and tonneau-shaped case, the smooth, flowing profile—evoking the aerodynamic bodywork of a high-performance car—connects the design to the rest of Laurent Ferrier’s creations, which are defined by fluid, rounded lines

- Offered in unworn condition with its stickers still intact, the present watch is accompanied by a Laurent Ferrier Certificate of Origin dated May 3, 2024, hang tag, wooden fitted presentation box, suede pouch, loupe, polishing cloth, product literature and outer packaging.

Following a 37-year career at Patek Philippe, Ferrier founded the brand in 2008, creating timeless wristwatches inspired by the finest wrist and pocket watches from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Revered by collectors around the world for their genuine innovations and understated elegance, the brand specializes in exquisitely hand-finished movements featuring state-of-the-art watchmaking technology. Galet, or "pebble" in French, describes the signature feature of the brand's cases used across its collection — with soft curves, domed crystals and rounded edges reminding one of a smooth pebble.
