The present 18k pink gold Duomètre à Chronographe with opaline magnetite dial is second generation with the original model produced in yellow gold with a silvered dial.
Released in the fall of 2016 ahead of the 2017 SIHH, the redesigned model maintains the partially skeletonized dial at the 6 position with the arched power reserve indicators. The grey dial is masculine and readable with the time of day indicated by the subsidiary dial on the left and the combined 60 minute and 12-hour subsidiary dial on the right. A super imposed chronograph hand, operated through the single button at the two, works in concert with the oversized center seconds hand.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has long been at the forefront of technical advancements and the ingenious “dual wing” movement of the Duomètre collection is sure to please all collectors. According to the manufacturer production was limited produced in 30 pieces.

Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre and originally named LeCoutre, the firm provided watchmaking's top brands, such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, the high-grade, unfinished mechanical movements with which they completed their watches.
In the early 1900s, Cartier's watch supplier Edmond Jaeger sought out LeCoultre's help in creating the world's thinnest watches. The collaboration resulted in the creation of Cartier's earliest Tank and Santos watches, all housed with LeCoultre movements. The duo decided to merge in 1937, and the firm officially became the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand by which collectors know and adore it today. Some of the firm's most significant and important timepieces include the Reverso, the Memovox, the Atmos clock and, among modern watches, their Master Complications.
