Catalogue Essay
- To commemorate the 15th anniversary of revered online horological publication Monochrome, independent Austrian atelier Habring2 accepted a special commission. The resulting Montre de Souscription 1 represents the best of bespoke watchmaking – tailored precisely to the tastes of enthusiasts.
- Limited to just 33 stainless steel pieces, the Souscription 1 takes inspiration from Habring2's elegant mono-pusher Chrono-Felix. At the heart ticks the A11C-H1 movement, over three years in development to create the mono-pusher module atop the ETA 7750 base. Each component is hand-finished to perfection, with blued screws and cams on full display.
- Yet it is the salmon dial that immediately captivates the eye. Habring2 applies their mastery of texture to achieve a dial that radiates in varying hues. Sector design details, reminiscent of 1940s chronographs, align gracefully with blued steel hands.
- Sized at a comfortable 38.5mm, the Souscription 1 slips effortlessly under any cuff. The taupe nubuck strap offers relaxed elegance, interchangeable with the accompanying beads-of-rice bracelet.
- Numbered 12 of the exclusive 33-piece edition, and complete with all original accessories, this Souscription 1 represents the pinnacle of bespoke watchmaking. For the collector with an eye for distinction, it is the perfect blend of independent artistry, sophisticated design, and exclusive appeal.
