In the world of independent watchmaking with an ideology of preserving traditional Swiss watchmaking craft, H. Moser & Cie is often the name that appears, for the right reasons. Acquired by the Meylan family in 2012, the firm has been manufacturing some of the most fascinating timepieces establishing a distinct aesthetic that has quickly garnered a global following. Based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, the manufacture produces an estimated 1,500 timepieces per year, making them rare timepieces nonetheless. In 2006, the H. Moser & Cie Perpetual 1 was awarded the complicated watch prize at the GPHG (Grand Prix D’Horlogerie De Genève).

While sports wristwatches have witnessed a meteoric rise in demand and value in recent years, manufacturers have all rushed to create their own with some succeeding and some overshadowed by existing models. Moser & Cie introduced the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph with a whole new design inspired from aesthetics during The Great Depression in the 1930s, more specifically aerodynamic streamlined locomotives from the era. The construction of the case is further second to none as it features fluid lines that gives the case a distinct appeal. However, the most interesting feature is perhaps the firm’s first integrated stainless steel bracelet. With an aim to create a comfortable one link bracelet that is completely fresh, the bracelet takes its inspiration from the Streamlined moderne style of the 1930s removing all straight lines with smooth arced lines that gives the whole timepiece a speedy look with a comfortable wrist presence.
