Catalogue Essay
- Hailed for preserving traditional Swiss watchmaking, independent manufacture H. Moser & Cie creates fascinating timepieces with a distinct aesthetic that has garnered global acclaim. Acquired by the Meylan family in 2012, and based in Schaffhausen, Moser produces around 1,500 rare timepieces per year. In 2006, the perpetual calendar H. Moser & Cie Perpetual 1 won the GPHG's Complicated Watch Prize, cementing Moser's prowess.
- While sports watches have skyrocketed in popularity, Moser introduced an innovative new entry in 2020 - the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph. Inspired by 1930s aerodynamic locomotives, its sleek rounded case was a departure from typical designs. Later that year, Moser unveiled the Streamliner Center Seconds - a three-hand model adopting the same fluid silhouette.
- Rather than the expected blue dial, Moser implemented their signature fumé green, masterfully achieved over years of dial-making. The curved case exudes speed with refined lines. Most intriguing is Moser's first integrated stainless steel bracelet, taking cues from 1930's streamlined modern curves and removing all harsh straight lines for seamless comfort.
- This exceptionally well-preserved example comes complete with all its accessories. With demand escalating among collectors, yet limited annual production, the Streamliner Center Seconds presents a fantastic opportunity to acquire one of Moser's most refreshing sports watches - a testament to the manufacture's innovation and horological mastery.
