In the 1980s, Gérald Genta earned the rights to manufacture timepieces with a theme to celebrate Walt Disney and his famous cartoon characters from Mickey Mouse. Whimsical and nostalgic, the Gérald Genta Retro Mickey Mouse collection is one that certainly brings a smile to one’s face. Having established his own brand in 1969, Gérald Genta was most notably known for his other projects including the design of the Royal Oak and Nautilus.

The present example Gérald Genta Retro Mickey Mouse ref. G3612 features a retrograde minute indicated by the gloved hand positioned from 8 to 4 o’clock and a jumping hour at 6 o’clock completing a perfectly symmetrical dial layout against the mother of pearl surface. With the recent growing demand for these Mickey Mouse themed timepieces, Bulgari resurrected the beloved classic during Geneva Watch Days in 2021 with incredible resemblance to the Genta’s Retro series that was widely praised and was a success. Offered by the original owner and preserved in excellent overall condition, the present timepiece is also accompanied by its full set of accessories.
