Catalogue Essay
Released in 2018, the 1941 Principia is Grönefeld’s first time-only wristwatch, featuring a completely original in-house automatic movement, finished and assembled by hand.
The present example in 18K pink gold with an alluring rhodium-plated dial that is swept over by the elegant flame-blued Lancette hour and minute hands, exuding spectacular charm from every angle.
The movement of the present timepiece is equally impressive. Fitted with a uni-directional winding mechanism weighted by a 22-karat solid pink gold monobloc rotor, the 226-part movement is made of stainless steel bridges replicating bell gables, often seen on the rooftops of Dutch church buildings, referencing the homeland of the Horological Brothers.
Discontinued and accompanied by its warranty and presentation box, the present timepiece is offered in excellent overall condition and will surely appeal to the most discerning watch collectors.
