Catalogue Essay
- Initially introduced in 1975, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato was originally designed as a quartz chronometer wristwatch. Regarded by collectors as one of the most significant models from the brand, this era also saw the launch of iconic pieces such as the Royal Oak and the Nautilus.

- Over the decades, the Laureato has evolved into a diverse collection featuring various complications, materials, and sizes, solidifying its status as an important pillar of the firm’s rich heritage.

- The present Laureato Chronograph Ti49, released in 2024, commemorates the 49th anniversary of the Laureato collection's debut. Measuring 42mm in diameter, this model offers a modern interpretation with a robust titanium case and bracelet.

- Exuding a sporty appeal, the case is further enhanced by an attractive “clous de Paris” textured monochromatic grey dial. Ideal for daily wear, this example is offered in “like new” condition and comes complete with its full set of accessories.

Girard Perregaux

Swiss | 1791
Celebrating its 225th anniversary in 2016, the company earned its fame as the first vertically integrated Swiss watchmaking company, manufacturing high-grade movements, cases and dials within its premises. Particularly noteworthy are the brand's three-gold-bridge tourbillon pocket watches built by Constant Girard beginning in 1867 — considered amongst the most beautiful movement architectures ever made. An active participant in Switzerland's observatory chronometry competitions, the brand won so many precision awards that they were excluded from competing in 1901.

Key models include nineteenth and twentieth century pocket watches with three gold bridges, modern tourbillon wristwatches with three gold bridges, minute repeating pocket and wristwatches, as well as sport watches such as the Laureato and Sea Hawk.
