Catalogue Essay
- Introduced in 2000, Girard-Perregaux unveiled the remarkable WW.TC (World-Wide Time Control) reference, a mechanical marvel that incorporates a world time function, allowing the wearer to effortlessly track the time across the globe. Not only does it display the world time, but this timepiece is specifically designed with the discerning trader in mind, providing information on the trading hours of key financial markets such as Hong Kong, New York, London, and Tokyo.

- In addition to its world time feature, the watch also boasts a chronograph and date function, exemplifying Girard-Perregaux's commitment to preserving their rich horological tradition by creating truly exceptional mechanical timepieces.

- Produced across three metals, pink white and yellow gold, the current iteration of the watch is encased in white gold. The dial is beautifully finished in an light cream dial that works well with the grey brown accents on the night indication.

- Well-preserved by the original owner complete with all its accompanying accessories. This makes it an exceedingly desirable collectible for international traders who appreciate the combination of mechanical prowess and stylish wristwear.

- Please note that the proceeds of the sale of the present watch will be given by the Consignor to various charities.

Girard Perregaux

Swiss | 1791
Celebrating its 225th anniversary in 2016, the company earned its fame as the first vertically integrated Swiss watchmaking company, manufacturing high-grade movements, cases and dials within its premises. Particularly noteworthy are the brand's three-gold-bridge tourbillon pocket watches built by Constant Girard beginning in 1867 — considered amongst the most beautiful movement architectures ever made. An active participant in Switzerland's observatory chronometry competitions, the brand won so many precision awards that they were excluded from competing in 1901.

Key models include nineteenth and twentieth century pocket watches with three gold bridges, modern tourbillon wristwatches with three gold bridges, minute repeating pocket and wristwatches, as well as sport watches such as the Laureato and Sea Hawk.
