It was the year that Steve Jobs founded Apple, Patek Philippe introduced the Nautilus, and Girard Perregaux introduced the original Casquette. Renowned as a pioneer of digital technology for creating quartz calibers, Girard Perregaux produced a small production of only 8,200 examples of the original Casquette, in variants of Makrolon, stainless steel and plated gold, from 1976 to 1978, which became a highly successful production run.

Encased in black ceramic and Grade 5 titanium, the Casquette 2.0 boasts great comfort on the wearer’s wrist. The case is scratch-resistant, hypoallergenic and offer an exceptionally low mass of 107g. Closed with a titanium deployant clasp, the ceramic bracelet is fitted with a rubber interior that improves flexibility.
