Good To Know:
- Discontinued model, produced between 2007 and 2018
- Iconic cal. 1300.3 offering 120 hours of power reserve
- Accompanied by its original warranty card and box
When F.P. Journe introduced the Octa line in 2001, it marked the debut of the brand's first serialized automatic wristwatch collection. Building on early collector acclaim, Journe further refined the architecture with his iconic calibre, engineering an even more efficient unidirectional winding system designed to maximize energy capture from subtle wrist movements.
Combining everyday comfort with signature technical innovation, the Octa Automatique Réserve features Calibre 1300.3, fitted with a free-sprung variable-inertia balance wheel for optimum chronometric stability. Its off-center 22K pink gold rotor efficiently winds a massive, one-meter long mainspring housed within a single barrel. This remarkable mainspring configuration delivers over 120 hours of continuous chronometric autonomy, providing exceptional practical convenience alongside legible hours and minutes, small seconds, power reserve indication and an instantaneous large date display.
Discontinued models from F.P. Journe consistently command intense interest among discerning collectors. Produced between 2007 and 2018, the Octa Automatique Réserve appeals directly to horological purists seeking a foundational Journe creation anchored by his iconic automatic movement family. Cased in warm 18K pink gold, the present example is preserved in excellent condition and comes complete with its original warranty card and presentation box.

F.P. Journe
Swiss | 1999Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
