GOOD TO KNOW
• Presented in a substantial platinum case and bracelet
• Property of the original owner
• Consigned as complete collectors’ set in excellent, virtually unworn overall condition
- The Centigraphe Sport was first introduced in 2011 in an unexpected aluminum case, representing F.P. Journe's bold reinterpretation of the brand's celebrated Centigraphe chronograph.
- At its heart lies the manufacture's innovative manually wound chronograph movement, capable of measuring elapsed time to one hundredth of a second via a dedicated hand at 10 o'clock that completes one full revolution every second when activated.
- Once the chronograph is stopped, the one-hundredth of a second hand halts at its precise position, allowing for an accurate fractional reading—an ingenious solution rarely seen in mechanical watchmaking.
- The platinum execution combines exceptional wrist presence with refined finishing, featuring a hammered case and bracelet paired with a blue-mauve guilloché dial, creating a distinctive balance of technical innovation and understated luxury.
- Consigned by the original owner, the present example is a later production watch, distinguished by the absence of the rubber bumpers originally fitted between the bracelet links, resulting in a cleaner and more seamless aesthetic.

F.P. Journe
Swiss | 1999Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
