GOOD TO KNOW
• 38mm diameter, brass movement
• Original guarantee card and accessories
• Fresh-to-the-market and from the original owner
The Octa Réserve de Marche is part of Journe’s founding models, along with his signature Chronomètre à Résonance and Tourbillon Souverain. Journe’s objective with the automatic caliber 1300 was to offer a movement with 5-day power reserve in which he could add extra complications without modifying its size which would remain 30mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick. He succeeded, as the caliber 1300 was the first self-winding movement to provide 120 hours of power reserve.
The Octa Réserve de Marche features all of the Journe signature elements that collectors have come to love, such as a grainy gold dial with offset time indication on the right, a power reserve indicator covering a large part of the left section of the dial, and a large date.
The present watch is fitted with a desirable and rare brass movement only produced in Octa Réserve de Marche models between 2001 and 2004, with three prototype examples produced for the introduction of the model in 2000. Of the estimated 45 Octa Réserve de Marche brass movement pieces that have appeared at auction, only 8 were cased in 18K pink gold, with 5 of those additionally fitted with a white gold dial (as of cataloguing in early 2026).
Purchased at a Turkish retailer of F.P. Journe’s in 2004, the present Octa Réserve de Marche is accompanied by its original walnut burl wood presentation box, instruction manual, and guarantee card. It comes directly from the collection of the original owner.

F.P. Journe
Swiss | 1999Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
