In the early 1990s, two European collectors enlisted the expertise of Jacques Grange, their long-time interior designer, David Gill, the pioneering gallerist of contemporary design, and Elizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti, two young emerging designers to create a fantastical interior completed in 1996. This early commission is wholly singular in its stylistic language with each work standing as a testament to the genius of the original project and a catalyst for their subsequent body of work which consistently weaves eccentricity with tasteful materials and a deference to historical influences allowing their works to be incorporated into any lifestyle.
