Good to Know:
- Second time zone, hours and minutes
- Featuring a blackened white gold case set with black diamonds
- Accompanied by setting pin and fitted box
The De Grisogono Instrumento No. Uno is not a watch that tries to blend in. Its large rectangular case, dark diamond setting and brilliant dial give it a strong presence, and the design is very much in keeping with the bold jewelery watches for which De Grisogono became known.
The present UNO DF S06/B combines a blackened white gold case with an impressive amount of diamond setting. The case is decorated with black diamonds, while the dial is set with white diamonds. The bracelet continues the same contrast, further set with black diamonds. The black PVD coating gives the case and bracelet their distinctive dark appearance while also adding a hard, durable surface to the underlying metal.
There is plenty going on visually, but the watch remains practical underneath it all. The automatic calibre displays the hours, minutes, date and a second time zone. This contrast between a highly extravagant exterior and useful everyday functions is part of what makes the watch so appealing.
The Instrumento No. Uno is undeniably substantial on the wrist. Its unusual proportions, extensive diamond setting and dark color scheme give it a character that is difficult to mistake for anything else.
