- Daniel Roth is one of the most brilliant watchmakers of his generation and one of the earliest watchmakers to set up his eponymous brand in 1987.
- The present timepiece is the brainchild of two of the greatest independent watchmakers of the era: Daniel Roth and Philippe Dufour. After launching his brand Roth teamed up with Dufour to create a perpetual calendar never seen before. The result is a world first: the instantaneous perpetual calendar whereby all calendar functions jump to the next indication all together instantaneously. In regular perpetual calendars the calendar hands gradually move to the next indication.
- The openwork dial allows a wonderful glimpse into the beautifully finished perpetual calendar module set upon a hand engraved plate with the silver rings floating above, with a mesmerizing result.
