Introduced in 1988, the double-dial reference C187 was among the very first models created for his namesake brand. The present reference 197.X.60 stands as a magnificent continuation of this legacy, produced around mid 1990s to early 2000s following the brand's revival under the Singapore-based retailer The Hour Glass.

Encased in Daniel Roth’s signature double-ellipse case in white gold, this extraordinary timepiece features a double dial and a hinged caseback. Setting this iteration apart from standard examples, the case, bezel, lugs and pin buckle are lavishly embellished with full baguette-cut diamonds. Notably, the gem-setting is contained strictly within the exterior case, preserving the purity and intricate finishing of the dials.

The front dial presents an off-center time display on the upper section, framed by a silver brushed chapter ring with Roman numerals and an outlined sauté piqué minute track—a homage to classic Breguet styling. Set against a creamy white Clou de Paris guilloché field, the dial is accentuated by blued hands and lower silver Côtes de Genève finishing framing an aperture that reveals the magnificent tourbillon in motion. Opening the hinged caseback unveils the secondary dial: a delicate date indication decorated with Vieux Panier guilloché alongside an eight-day power reserve indicator, set against a matching creamy Clous de Paris dial.

Preserved in excellent condition with crisp hallmarks and numbered 051, this reference 197.X.60 represents an exquisite blending of high-complication watchmaking, haute joaillerie, and signature independent design.
