Introduced in Watches & Wonders Geneva 2022, the Antarctique Rattrapante Ice Blue, following “Sunrise” and “Silver Grey”, is the third model in the Antarctique Rattrapante collection. Ice blue refers to the hues of blue on the sapphire glass minutes ring and counters on the dial, which produces a pleasing glimmer as the blue sword hands treated with SuperLuminiva move around the hours and minutes. This delightful addition is what I think makes it the best watch in the Rattrapante collection thus far. While the watch still has the signature Czapek sub-dials at 4.30 and 7.30 o’clock, it has also added a delicious split-second hand in red, enhancing the chronograph wristwatch with zest and character.
