Good To Know:
- Made to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Linearx model
- Made in 30 pieces
- A study of Japanese craft with its "mokume-gane" dial
- Offered with original accessories
Introduced in 2018 as part of Credor’s collection, the Linearx brought a relaxed, contemporary aesthetic that marked a departure from the brand’s traditionally classical style, prioritizing everyday wearability. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Linearx, a limited edition of just 30 pieces was released, with the present ref. GCCD983 showcasing an all-stainless-steel case complemented by a striking mokume-gane dial. Like many models from Credor, the present watch is a study on the intricacies and high standards of Japanese craft.
Crafted using the centuries-old Japanese technique of mokume-gane—originally developed over 400 years ago for sword fittings—the dial exhibits a flowing interplay of browns and yellows. This unique wood-grain effect emerges from a meticulous process in which layers of different metals are stacked, carved, twisted, and hammered flat, revealing the organic, intricate patterns that define the art form.
Offered in excellent condition, it is furthermore accompanied by its Credor Guarantee card dated 2024, product literature, presentation box and outer packaging.
