- In the late 1990s, Seiko embarked on a venture to revive its production of mechanical chronographs. To accomplish this, the company enlisted the expertise of its experienced engineers and watchmakers, some of whom had retired but were willing to return and contribute to the project. The result was the introduction of the Series 6S calibres in 1998, initially intended exclusively for the domestic market and housed within Seiko's prestigious Credor line.
- One of these remarkable calibers, the 6S74, features a power reserve indicator and boasts a gold-plated finish. Its intricate construction reveals the column wheel mechanism through a transparent display back, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship involved.
- The current reference encased in luxurious platinum, is limited to a production run of just 200 pieces. It pays homage to classic chronographs with its sleek baton markers, absence of a date display, exquisite fluted bezel, and blue hands. The elegant platinum case and sleek design make this watch a true standout.
