Full-Cataloguing
- Fresh to the market and debut in public market
- Belle Pêche" guilloche dial with secret THC signature at the indexes 8, 5 and 2
- Limited edition of only 10 pieces made for The Horology Club from Hong Kong
A particularly special expression of the Cloche was created exclusively for The Horology Club through Cartier’s NSO programme and nicknamed “Belle Pêche” (Beautiful Peach) by the club’s founders. It features a captivating peach-coloured dial inspired by the dial of the 90th-anniversary Santos Dumont. The centre is adorned with a twisting guilloché pattern reminiscent of a tornado, a motif first seen on a special-edition Santos Dumont XL released in 2021 which adds depth and texture.
Black Roman numerals sit elegantly on the dial, framed by a striking burgundy chemin de fer. Cleverly hidden within the railway track at the 8, 5 and 2 indexes are the letters T, H and C. A quiet yet proud secret signature referencing Hong Kong’s telephone country code and affirming the club’s deep roots in the city that gave it life.
This particular example is the first to appear on the public market. Limited to only ten pieces and numbered 10, last one to be made, the edition was offered exclusively to 10 lucky club members at launch.
Cartier
FrenchWith the Constitution of 1848 came a new standard for luxury in France. Founded one year prior by Louis-Francois Cartier, the house of Cartier was one of the first to use platinum in jewelry making. This incredibly expensive material became the stepping-stone for Cartier to experiment in form, mechanisms and attitude. It helped men move from pocket watches to wristwatches, effectively making the watch much more functional and prominent in a man's overall wardrobe.
Cartier did not only touch on functionality. Inspired by a commissioned painting by George Barbier featuring a black panther at the feet of an elegantly bejeweled woman, Cartier began incorporating wild animals in his designs—most notably, Cartier Panthère rings, bangle bracelets and watches. Yet it wasn't until the late 1960s that the house of Cartier debuted their iconic yellow and rose gold LOVE collection, which includes the famous bracelet that only a special screwdriver can open.
