Good To Know:

- Blue Art Deco dial with a finely laser‑engraved pattern
- Customed The Armoury platinum 7-link bracelet
- Limited to 170 pieces for the European market

This special edition Louis Cartier was specially made for its European boutiques and features delicate shades of blue with a beautiful shimmering effect when the watch is in motion.

The custom bracelet, inspired by the classic brick bracelets of the 1930s, are made by bracelet craftsmen in Hong Kong. They are a joint project between international menswear brand, The Armoury, and Maia, a Hong Kong company specialized in making precious metal bracelets. Each bracelet is custom made and the endlinks are specifically crafted for a precise fit to the watch head. Additional links are available for purchase on request.

The Tank Louis has long served as a canvas for Cartier, evolving since its 1910s origin through numerous dial and material variations. Yet few executions match the present example: a special dial finish that elevates the Tank’s classic lines into something wholly modern. Released in 2023 as a 170‑piece limited edition for the European market, this watch pairs a blue Art Deco dial decorated with a finely laser‑engraved pattern. The interplay of differently angled lines produces an impression of depth and shifting colour that changes with the light.

Offered by Mark Cho and accompanied by its original accessories, including the original platinum buckle.

Cartier

French

With the Constitution of 1848 came a new standard for luxury in France. Founded one year prior by Louis-Francois Cartier, the house of Cartier was one of the first to use platinum in jewelry making. This incredibly expensive material became the stepping-stone for Cartier to experiment in form, mechanisms and attitude. It helped men move from pocket watches to wristwatches, effectively making the watch much more functional and prominent in a man's overall wardrobe.

Cartier did not only touch on functionality. Inspired by a commissioned painting by George Barbier featuring a black panther at the feet of an elegantly bejeweled woman, Cartier began incorporating wild animals in his designs—most notably, Cartier Panthère rings, bangle bracelets and watches. Yet it wasn't until the late 1960s that the house of Cartier debuted their iconic yellow and rose gold LOVE collection, which includes the famous bracelet that only a special screwdriver can open.
