In honor of the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary, Audemars Piguet introduced an updated generation of Royal Oak Chronograph wristwatches in 2022. Several distinct iterations debuted throughout the milestone year, spanning 38mm and 41mm case diameters across a variety of dial colorways and gem-set executions.

Adhering closely to the design codes of the collection, the present 41mm Royal Oak Chronograph features a khaki green "Grande Tapisserie" dial equipped with luminescent hour markers and a date window positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock. Encased in stainless steel, it retains the signature brushed and polished finishes across its octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet. This generation introduced subtle yet impactful updates, including an adjusted chronograph subdial layout, an applied white gold Audemars Piguet signature at 12 o’clock and a sapphire crystal caseback displaying the in-house cal. 4401—a self-winding chronograph movement with a sophisticated flyback function.

Consigned by its original owner in like-new condition, this 41mm Royal Oak Chronograph is complete with its international warranty card and full suite of accessories, offering an opportunity to acquire a commemorative reference from Audemars Piguet’s 50th-anniversary release.

Audemars Piguet

Swiss | 1881

A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Since its earliest days, AP is considered a leader in the field of minute repeaters and grande complication pocket and wristwatches. The brand is devoted to preserving the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, showcased at their superb museum in Le Brassus.

Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
