- In 2004, Juan Pablo Montoya joined Audemars Piguet as a brand ambassador, marked by the launch of a highly coveted Royal Oak Offshore named in honor of the famed Colombian Formula One driver.
- Produced in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces in titanium and 500 pieces in pink gold—such as the present example—the 42mm chronograph radiates a distinct racing energy. Its motorsport-inspired design language is visible in everything from the eight-cylinder-head bezel screws and carbon fiber inserts to the clutch-disc-shaped rotor and pedal-like pushers.
- The signature Tapisserie dial motif has been cleverly modified to mimic the waving movement of a checkered flag at the finish line. Demonstrating Audemars Piguet's meticulous attention to detail, the black strap is also inspired by the padded racing suits worn by F1 drivers.
- Montoya boasts a long and distinguished career at the pinnacle of international motorsport; alongside Mario Andretti, he is the only driver to win in Formula One, the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Daytona. This Royal Oak Offshore stands as a fitting tribute to his singular skill and excellence on the track.
