- Developed for over 5 years, the CODE 11.59 by Audemars Piguet was released in 2019 to be a new collection with a fully in-house manufactured movement. The name CODE stands for ‘Challenge, Own, Dare, Evolve”, and the numbers 11:59 takes the last minute before midnight, which represents the anticipation to a new day and future.
- The CODE 11.59 returns to a classic round watch case, with openworked lugs giving it a more modern touch to the design. This present example is paired with a white lacquered dial with the date window positioning at 4:30 position, matched with indexes in applied 18K pink gold. The typography of the numerals also references the brand’s minute repeater from 1951, the ref. 5528. A modern round case with an index design from the 1950s, the CODE 11.59 bridges vintage with modernity, truly a timeless design.
- The watch houses the in-house cal. 4302 with a 70-hour power reserve. Equipped with a 22K gold selfwinding rotor decorated with engravings of the Audemars and Piguet family crests. There is no better decoration than a rotor representing the brand history for a watch symbolizing the brand’s new anticipation for the future.

Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972.
