Introduced in 2022 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak, Reference 26730TI.OO.1320TI.01 represents a particularly sophisticated expression of Audemars Piguet’s iconic design. Combining the architectural character of the Royal Oak with the technical complexity of a flying tourbillon, the reference is distinguished by its entirely titanium construction and understated smoked-blue dial.
Measuring 41 mm in diameter, the titanium case and integrated bracelet give the watch an exceptionally light presence on the wrist, while the alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces accentuate the sharp geometry for which the Royal Oak is renowned.
The sandblasted smoked-blue dial is deliberately restrained, dispensing with the traditional Grande Tapisserie pattern and allowing the flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock to take centre stage. Visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback is the automatic Calibre 2950, a sophisticated movement comprising 270 components and operating at 3 Hz, with a minimum power reserve of 65 hours. Its open architecture reveals the finely finished movement and, most notably, a 22K pink-gold oscillating weight bearing the commemorative “50-years” logo, a detail reserved for the anniversary models.
Produced as part of Audemars Piguet’s 50th-anniversary celebration of the Royal Oak, Reference 26730TI.OO.1320TI.01 embodies the manufacture’s ability to evolve Gérald Genta’s seminal design while preserving its essential identity.
