-Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection was first introduced in 1972 and over the last 50 years has become an icon of the horological world. AP released the Offshore model in 1993 as an updated, more masculine chronograph suited to a younger, active collector. In 2021, AP released the reference 26238 with a 42mm diameter case, similar to the original Offshore from 1993. Impressively, this new model featured AP’s new, in-house caliber 4404 and was offered in a variety of modern materials from steel to ceramic and, like the present model, titanium.
-The “Khaki” Offshore chronograph has a distinctive military aesthetic featuring a Méga Tapisserie pattern dial with white gold Arabic hour numerals and Khaki green rubber strap and titanium pink buckle. The model features an innovative interchangeable strap system, and the present watch is accompanied by an additional AP leather strap. The flyback chronograph caliber 4404 within is a direct redesign from AP’s first in-house chronograph caliber 4401 and features a 12-9-6 subsidiary dial layout.
-Consigned by the original owner, the present watch is preserved in pristine, virtually new condition and accompanied by its full suite of accessories.
