Catalogue Essay
Audemars Piguet debuted their first Royal Oak Chronograph in 1998 with the reference 25860, featuring the self-winding caliber 2385, derived from Frédéric Piguet’s caliber 1185. At its launch, this movement was notable for being the thinnest self-winding chronograph ever, with a mere thickness of 5.5mm. In 2019, the reference 26715 was introduced, presenting a more polished and unisex interpretation of the original Royal Oak while maintaining its classic slim profile. Despite superficial similarities, the ref. 26715 comes with a completely revamped three-piece case.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph ref. 26715 on offer showcases an eye-catching grey dial, featuring the brand's signature Grande Tapisserie pattern, which adds a refined shine that pairs beautifully with the stainless steel case. Presented in excellent overall condition and complete with all accessories, this 38mm timepiece is an ideal option for everyday use.

Audemars Piguet

Swiss | 1881
A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Since its earliest days, AP is considered a leader in the field of minute repeaters and grande complication pocket and wristwatches. The brand is devoted to preserving the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, showcased at their superb museum in Le Brassus.
Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
