Catalogue Essay
- The Royal Oak chronograph "Leo Messi" was launched in 2012 and designed with football icon Leo Messi. The watch was made in 100 pieces in tantalum and platinum, 400 pieces in tantalum and pink gold and 500 pieces in tantalum and stainless steel like the present example.
- The model does without the signature tapisserie dial of the Royal Oak models and opts instead for a clean slate grey dial mirroring the color of the tantalum bezel and a silver subdial outer rings mirroring the color of the steel case.
- Elegant, refined yet athletic the present timepiece once again underlines Audemars Piguet's unappareled approach in mixing metals.
